Frank Hanretty, a native of Utica, NY, has been painting since he was a child and is inspired by the natural beauty and dramatic scenery of the Mohawk Valley.  Carl M. Houghton, a colorblind artist from New Berlin, NY, has exhibited in various galleries across New York State as well as in Boston, MA and Charlotte, NC.  Houghton states, My specific disability has been a source of frustration, but also a chance for me to stretch myself beyond the comfort zone of my own physiology.
